LafargeHolcim announced the promotion of two executives, Michael LeMonds and Chad Cornwell, to the U.S. cement and Aggregates Construction Material (ACM) teams. LeMonds and Cornwell will be based in the company’s U.S. headquarters in Chicago.
LeMonds assumes the role of vice president of Land, Environment and Government Affairs for the United States. He has been with LafargeHolcim for more than 15 years, serving in a variety of leadership positions throughout his tenure, including instituting business development improvements across Canada and the United States. LeMonds holds numerous leadership positions in national trade associations including the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, Portland Cement Association and the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association.
Cornwell has been named director of ACM Aggregate and Asphalt Performance, and will oversee the Performance, Geology and Mining teams for U.S. ACM. Cornwell has held a variety of leadership roles within the aggregate industry from project manager to director of operations. He began his career with LafargeHolcim as a performance manager in 2013, and has received numerous awards including the LafargeHolcim US Aggregates “Performance Leadership” in 2016 and “Excellence in Safety Leadership” in 2014.
